Once upon a time, in a far away land there were two babies…
and then they sprouted up quicker than weeds and now we have boddlers. Not a typo.
I first heard this word from my sweet friend Kim.
A Boddler

Not really a baby any longer,
yet not quite ready to be a toddler yet. A boddler

Old enough to wear shoes. Lace up shoes.

Ready to try out for the cheer team. Anxious to throw a football, to drive off to college, to paint for themselves on this canvas of life.
Yet they are still attached to their bottle, to their binkie, to their momma.
They still need someone to wipe their little bum.
Still living in the neediness of babyhood, yet aching for the independence of adolescence.

I have decided I like this concept with a B- Boddler… What a fun and lovely word.
Before too long it will have a T to begin with and it is all moving so fast.
Stop and be babies awhile longer. Come snuggle, let me sing to you. Get out of the cabinet and stay off the stairs. Just fall asleep in my arms one more time…

and let me keep my quarterback with a B for now, just for today, and maybe tomorrow.
Trying to hold on a few more minutes before the B vanishes forever and in a poof we will be left with what they are quickly becoming- two very busy and crazy toddlers.

OMG–they look so grown-up in these photos!
I love it! So cute…esp the cheerleading outfit and the converse
Enjoy this stage…it really flies by.
